easy hot fudge sauce

In a medium bowl, not metal, combine 1/3 cup light corn syrup with 1 cup heavy cream.  Microwave for between 3 and 5 minutes, I generally do it at 70%, stirring a few times.  Remove bowl and add 8 ounces of chopped semisweet or milk chocolate. Allow to sit for a minute or two and then stir until chocolate melts and pour over ice cream.  Perhaps pour over coconut ice cream and top with toasted coconut. Or, drizzle over peppermint ice cream. very tasty.
