after shooting this video of the carrot apple salad, I have a bunch of apples left. I’m going to bake them, something I loved to eat as a kid. I core them but not all the way to the bottom and peel the skin off the tops about 1/3 of the way down the side of the apple. The filling will be about a teaspoon of butter in each cavity, either maple syrup or brown sugar, chopped almonds and a chunk of almond paste too. I have some in the fridge from a pear and almond tart I made recently. I will bake till the apple is tender. I will pour either apple juice or orange juice in the pan and do a little basting.
