2035 NE Alberta Salt and Straw

When I am jonesing for gelato, as I am with some frequency, I head to Alder on east burnside. (see earlier post). Happily, when I have a hankering for ice cream, Salt and Straw will be my destination. Creamy, great flavors, strange but not stupid. Cinnamon snickerdoodle, chocolate with gooey brownies, balsamic strawberry with black pepper and almond brittle with salted ganache. Lots of others, sorbets too. Freshly made waffle cone that was made shortly before it became mine.  Cute place too, and Alberta is always fun.

Btw, good time for figs. split them in half, place a little goat cheese on top and drizzle with truffle oil or lavender honey. get them when they are soft.
